Xbox and Obsidian Entertainment are adapting the game to an animation in collaboration with Kinetic Media, Bardel Entertainment and Waterproof Studios/SC Productions

Grounded, the survival co-op that combines elements from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and A Bug’s Life, is getting an animated TV adaptation. As of reports Brent Friedman of Star Wars: Clone Wars will work as storywriter, while Halo 4’s Brien Goodrich will serve as director.

Plot Of The Animation

The series will be set in the same world as the backyard survival game. Inspired by A Bug’s Life and Honey I Shrunk The Kids

The game follows four teenagers in the 1990s who accidentally get shrunk to the size of ants and must survive the dangers of an ordinary backyard. Same goes for the series the story will be of a group of teens who shrunk down, but it is unclear if the show will be an adaptation of this game or a completely different set of characters. The show’s description also suggests a corporate conspiracy that threatens the entire town.
