Rumors suggest that a mobile version of Destiny 2 could be being developed. It is believed that the Game Post was first noticed by the game. A handful of patents issued by Bungie provide hints at the aggressive features, such as Touch screen controls. In all, six patents filed by Bungie in the month of March before when they were issued earlier this month. They give us a clear glimpse into what’s possible in the near future. Patents don’t specify whether this will provide the exact same experience as the original game (like Fortnite) or if it’s completely different (as we witnessed in Call of Duty).
According to Bungie
At the time of writing, Bungie has not revealed any details regarding whether there is a possibility for launching a mobile version. However, there is a good chance that Bungie is at the very least thinking about the possibility. It is nevertheless important to be aware that numerous companies routinely file patent applications to develop ideas that do not are actually developed further.
For instance, an interesting patent application PlayStation submitted but has not yet been granted would have allowed gamers to make use of common items like bananas as controllers. But, this specific patent application hasn’t yet been granted. The banana controller appears far less probable than mobile-based version of an established First-person shooting game
Destiny 2 to be offered on multiple platforms
PlayStation acquired Bungie in July both companies agreed to continue to offer Destiny 2 on multiple platforms. If there is a game that is mobile-friendly Destiny 2 really does happen it will increase the number of accessible players than before! This is a good thing for everyone who plays and could allow Destiny 2 gamers to enjoy the game even when it’s not as convenient. In the meantime, until we get the official confirmation, gamers have to wait.
Destiny 2 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Google Stadia and PC.
