At this moment, the emerging world of NFTs can be seen all around us. NFT holders (or owners) need to make a decision about how and where they want their NFTs secured. Although this is a difficult question to answer, we believe you will find the right answer after reading this article.

NFTs are sentimental and expensive. We can all agree that NFT security should be a top priority.

The hardware wallets were found to be the best option for securing your NFTs after a thorough research.

What is a Hardware wallet?

A hardware wallet is a device that stores digital assets, such as NFTs and cryptocurrencies, in a safe place. This is the most secure storage option because it stores your wallet’s password, recovery phrase, and PIN code offline. These chips are also used by devices such as Ledger to prevent physical hacks.

NFTs have become the next big thing in gaming, art and collectibles over the past year. A lot of scammers, malware, fake accounts, and fraudsters have emerged to take advantage of your personal information in order to access your wallet.

Hardware wallets enable you to access your NFTs alone and provide security when interacting with Web 3.0 apps.

The best NFT hardware wallets

You can’t store NFTs on your hardware wallets directly. They need to be moved from your software wallet.

Trezor, Ledger Nano X, Trezor Model T, Ledger Nano S and KeepKey Hardware Wallet are the best NFT hardware wallets. You will need to use a third party app (such as Metamask) to transfer NFTs to these wallets.

1. Trezor

Trezor supports NFTs transactions directly, but only when used in conjunction with a third party interface.

This applies only to the EIP-721 Ethereum standard, which allows NFTs to be sent over the Ethereum network. Trezor states that other blockchains are not supported at the moment and plans to support them in the future.

Similar to Ledger, Trezor will connect you with your third-party app capable of managing and storing NFTs. Metamask is one of the most trusted software wallets to store NFTs.

NFTs aren’t supported directly in Trezor Suite. However, you can save the image your token points at and then load it into your Trezor. Go to Device Settings in Trezor suite and scroll down to Customization to add an NFT to your home screen.

2. Ledger Nano X

The LedgerX is the most popular hardware wallet available today. It is trusted by NFT investors, collectors, creators, and others to store digital assets like NFTs and cryptocurrency.

The Ledger NanoX X has the best feature of all. You can use it to purchase NFTs from any NFT marketplace just like you would with a Metamask wallet. Simply connect the Ledger Nano X to your computer to make a purchase. Once you are done, you can disconnect your wallet to feel secure in knowing that your NFTs have been safe.

The Ledger NanoX is extremely easy to use, has a built in battery and enhanced asset management capabilities such as Bluetooth. The wallet is matte black and has a 128×64-pixel screen that allows you to cycle through different applications. It can hold over 1,800 coins or tokens.

Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity allows the Nano X and Ledger Live software (Android and iOS) to perform crypto transactions in real time. Secure Element from Ledger, a chip that protects against various attacks, is also available.

3. Trezor Model T

Trezor Model T, the crypto cold wallet, allows users instant access to third-party Exchanges like Changelly or CoinSwitch from the Trezor web interface.

The touch screen of this encrypted cold wallet makes it easier to use than the previous model. This best cold wallet measures 64 x 39×10 mm in dimensions and weighs around 22 g.

The box contains one Trezor Model T cold pocket, one USB-C-to-USB-C cable, two Recovery seed cards, a Model T magnetic dock and one keychain strap. This cold storage wallet is the best. It comes with a 1 USB C to USB-A Cable that allows you to connect using either a desktop computer or a phone, if you prefer Bluetooth.

4. Ledger Nano S

Ledger also makes the Nano S hardware wallet. This wallet is their base model. It’s about half the cost of the Nano X but offers the same quality and options.

Nano S can store up to three different software applications on its 57mmx17.4mmx 9.1mm design with a 16.2g weight. It’s small but powerful. The Nano X does not have Bluetooth capabilities and users must use its cables with adapters to either Apple or Android devices. The Nano S doesn’t have any apps that allow you to connect to your smart devices. However, this is part of their safety features since it is offline and therefore impossible to access wirelessly.

5. KeepKey Hardware Wallet

ShapeShift’s KeepKey wallet is a piece of hardware designed to work with any tech platform. This wallet combines old-school security with modern connectivity. The KeepKey can be used by anyone, no matter if you’re new to crypto wallets or an old hand at it.

The wallet has a unique PIN feature, which provides additional security to prevent hackers from accessing it. You can also set your own transaction speed, which is particularly useful if you have to transfer sensitive information. This hardware is unique in that it can hold unlimited wallet addresses.

Your needs and preferences will determine which NFT wallet is best for you. There are many NFT wallets available, but the best NFT wallet will allow for you to securely store, retrieve, and browse your digital assets.
